Bill Rood
PROFILE
A Jersey City artist, Bill works in many mediums, but mainly drawings with a fine liner or brush pen. He began his artistic journey reading poetry at the Art House Productions open mic in 2001 and switched his focus to visual art in 2013.
No matter the medium he seeks to spark joy in the viewer, because he sees too much pain in the world and we all need a little relief. His art is therefore often straightforward, but sometimes it explores deeper concepts, especially when the art combines words and images. He can usually be found out and about drawing cats or writing strange thoughts in his journal.
Bill served as the first President of the Board for Art House Productions from 2006 – 2009 and was the host of Art Kore’s open mic Welcome Words from 2005 – 2006.
